Stories Behind the Aviation and Maritime Designs

Sometimes the stories take you back to the battlefields of World War II, like the P-47 Thunderbolt, whose rugged design and powerful performance helped secure victories in the European skies. Other times, I explore the beloved schooners, like those adored by pirates and blockade runners for their speed and shallow draft, allowing them to outpace rivals and navigate tight coastal waters.

In addition to historical tales, some stories are more personal. I share my own experiences working on the De Havilland Beaver in Alaska, maintaining these classic bush planes through harsh winters.
